How to not have my messages say read?
So when I get a text on my iPhone and I open texts it will automatically go to the text and if its iMessage it'll tell the other person I read it. Is there a way around this? (I don't mean turn it off so it only says delivered, this is more to avoid a person or something haha)
You change it in settings.
You go to the Settings app on your home screen and then scroll down until you see Messages with the little green app icon beside it! Then click that and it will say IMessaging an then below that it will say Read receipts ---> click the button and it will switch to off
- Why does it say read on one & then on another it just says delivered? On my iPhone when I'm iMessageing someone it just says delivered on it. But on my friends phone it says read at the time that i read it. And then on her phone she'll be iMessageing another person & it will also just say delivered? So I'm confused on how to get it to tell me when they read it or can i even make it like that?

I have an iPhone 5s, and the messaging thing is being sorta odd… My friend and I got together and i sent her a smilie face to her iPhone, she had seen it but below the little message it said delivered. Why didn't it say read? Can you help me fix it?

Ok this might seem like a stupid question but i just got an iphone and was wondering the thing only will say read to the other person after you actuallly open the message right? Not just like when you're on your phone and it knows you saw it because the message went across the top of your screen?
- What do Black Friday deals for cell phones mean when they say, . With activation? (read details)? What if i already have an account with at&t and i want to get an iphone with at&t? Is it saying i have to get a new plan in order to get the deal or i just have to get a new sim card? Sorry if this is a dumb question, i just want to be sure about it.
