How to properly transfer DVD movies to USB Flashdrive?

I have a bunch of videos of my family and I want to transfer them to DVD. However, I have no DVD writer. So, Walmart has asked me to put them on flash drive.

1. What flash drive holds 60 minutes worth of video?
2. The videos were taken with an iPhone. What video quality is the iPhone? Is it HD, or what?

For MPEG2 you get about a GB per minute. Use that to judge the size flash drive you need. I use an app called "Converter Lite" to recode video from cameras and such to MPEG2 to burn onto DVD. There are other programs that are better and easier to use. Yes, you can convert DVD to MPEG4 to put on flash drives- or AVI (not as good quality), and get a bit more content fitting the space. You might even already have media processing software on your computer. Check through you programs.

  • My iPhone USB charger cable won't go in properly on my computer? My iPhone USB charger cable worked perfectly when plugged into my computer (its how I got my pictures off my phone, into the computer), but now it still plugs into the computer, but it won't connect into the phone. There's nothing wrong with the cable as far as I know, it plugs in and charges perfectly when in the wall. But now it won't connect to my computer.
  • How will I play my DVD movies if DVD players become obsolete? Most of my movies are on Amazon or iTunes or some digital format but I have some DVDs that I have not been able to find in digital format--Cats, The Three Lives of Thomasina, Fantasia. I have those on DVD and I have a CD/DVD drive in my laptop computer but my next computer won't have the drive so how would play the movies on my computer. Right now I hook up my laptop to a large screen and watch. What happens in the future?
