How to render a 1080x1920 video in Sony Vegas?

I merged several iPhone 1080x1920 videos (NOT 1920x1080) in Sony Vegas. I want to render them all into one 1080x1920 video for YouTube, but when I try to set a custom format it saves it in 1088x1080 with black borders on the sides no matter what…
Is there any way for me to keep the original quality? Do I have to rotate the video so that it'll be 1920x1080, but then will I be able to rotate it back in place directly on YouTube?

Added (1). Actually I tried to render it in 608x1080 and it worked. Maybe Sony Vegas just can't render a video with a height higher than 1080?

Try to play with Output Rotation setting in the Project Properties window.

  • Sony Xperia Z video call to iPhone 5? Ok, so I have an iPhone 5 and my partner has an Xperia Z. We've tried Skype along with a few other apps to try do a video call but non seem to work? Skype allows me to choose video on my iPhone 5, but my partner can't see the video or select a camera from her Xperia Z. Any ideas welcomed.
