How to restore iPhone 4 with passcode protection?

I have a iPhone 4, which has a passcode on it.
I'm trying to restore it but I'm not able too due to the passcode which I forgot…
*I recently got a new Macbook… So
Anyway that we can restore it without the passcode?

Easy tech fix.
1st. Tape a magnet to the phone and place the taped phone into a ziplock bag.
2nd. Place it in a microwave and turn on microwave for about 1 minute. This will erase all data and clear the memory.
3rd. Place phone in freezer for 30 seconds to prevent melting etc.
4th. Sync the phone on your computer and restore.
It should be restored brand new.

A stolen iPhone 4 which has passcode protection? Even if not, it wouldn't be right to answer your question and give help to people who do steal iPhones. Take it to the Apple store with proof of ownership.

  • Will my passcode be removed if I backup and restore my iPhone? So my dad put a passcode on my iPhone4… I have the phone but it has a passcode… Can I crack the passcode with ios7? Is there anyway? Or I have a computer synced with the phone… Can I make a backup and restore? If I do so passcode will be removed? And if yes… Then how can I get the same passcode back? so that my doesn't know that I used my iPhone! Or can I unlock the passcode somehow using iTunes?

  • IPhone won't restore? Forgotten passcode? I forgot my passcode for my iPhone 4s. I have tried to restore it, but it keeps saying that the phone has a passcode on it and and you need to get rid of it before you can restore it. But because I have forgotten the passcode, I can't do it this way. But when ever I try and do it through DFU mode, the same message still comes up half way through 'extracting files'… Any other ways?
