How to sell an iphone on ebay without a Nigerian buying it?

I tried to sell an iphone today, and within 10 minutes somebody had clicked 'buy it now'

they send me a fake email from paypal saying they had paid, and wanted it shipped to nigeria.

i relisted it twice, and the exact same thing happened.

Added (1). How did you know it was a fake email?

because there's no money in my paypal account, and I don't think paypal use pigeon English in their official emails

they have UK addresses on their ebay accounts (all of which have zero feedback and were created today). Then they want it shipped to their son/cousin/business partner in Nigeria

Added (3). "Simple. Don't send your phone to Nigeria. "

You can restrict buyers by country… It's somewhere in the options, but I can't remember where.

Exclude Nigeria from the counties you will ship to

Make them pick it up personally and pay you in cash

It's a SCAM

Ebay prohibits All transactions with Nigeria and you are under NO obligation to ship anywhere but the buyer's verified address. You don't ship to their son. You ship to the verified address in the UK and it's THEIR responsibility to ship to Nigeria

NEVER offer the Buy it Now option with electronics or phones. Scammers almost always use this as their accounts are not open long enough to complete the bidding process

Change your settings to show you do not ship anywhere but UK addresses
State in your post that you ONLY ship within the UK
State in your post that you will ONLY ship to VERIFIED addresses
NEVER give your Paypal account details to anyone -- that's why you use Ebay, so the buyer never has this information. Report anyone emailing you to ask for your paypal details

Report this to Ebay As soon as possible and then wait for their response before you are allowed to relist
