How to start up an iPhone 4s after a couple years?

I have an iPhone 4s that I haven't used in a couple years and I'm trying to turn it on, but it's completely dead and still charging. How can I turn it on without using the power button, because it is jammed? And i don't think I remember the passcode to it either, is there a way I can factory reset it once it is turned on? And also, is there a way for me to replace the sim card with my current one?

Take it to an iPhone dealer and have it dealt with.

You would need to get the power button fixed. Unfortunately, once you're able to turn the phone on (it will boot up if it can get enough charge) you would then need to enter DFU mode as you would need to restore it without entering the Passcode. The process to enter DFU mode needs a working home and power button, without both working button, you won't be able to restore it unless you enter the passcode

  • Would you buy a new iPhone every 2 years or 4 years? Why? If your not a fan of iPhones don't answer please. And would you buy the S models if you don't already own an iPhone?
  • Will the IPhone that's gonna be released in 2019 slow down after a few years like all the other Apple products? Ever since the news that Apple has purposefully made it so their devices slowly starts working worse as time goes by I haven't bought another Apple product but I really need a new phone, I wish I could buy another phone like Samsung but I have information on my current phone for school that can't be transferred. So I have been waiting for an Apple phone that won't slow down over time, so I don't have to constantly buy new phones and waste thousands.
  • Will iPhone 5s gold retain its value couple years later? I wanted to get the Grey 5s but I can tell that gold is getting enormously popular. Considering that I will be selling my 5s couple years later when I upgrade my phone again, should I get the gold even tho I like grey more than gold? Do you think gold 5s will lose its popularity by then?
  • Will an iPhone 5s bought now last for a couple of years? A network provider is offering a refurbished iPhone 5s for about £160. This is obviously a pretty good price, considering it comes with a warranty too, but would it realistically last two years? At the minute I've got a pretty low-end (although slightly bigger) android phone from 2 years ago, but it's still /reasonably/ smooth /most/ of the time - IIm surprised how well it's lasted!
