How to switch basic Verizon phone to iPhone?
So I dropped my Samsung Brightside the other day and now it is unresponsive. Just a white screen. I really want an iPhone and was planning on getting one with my upgrade in March, but now under these circumstances I'm thinking of getting one now. How much will it cost to switch to an iPhone (I'm paying myself) I already know that data is $30 but how much will the actual phone/contract cost and what Iphone should I get? Also, should I go to the verizon store and buy it or buy it online and then take the phones in to be switched?
Thank you!
Btw- I'm 15 so the most I can spend is like $200 so which iPhones fall in that price range?
Lol. A new iPhone 4 or 5 retails for WELL over $200. You'll have to look for 3G, or older. Try Amazon.com, look for a phone that's unlocked, or sold with Verizon service. Unlocked means it can be carried by any carrier, however, some features may be disabled. You'll never find one in your price range at a Verizon store. Don't go to eBay, most of those phones are stolen. Even at Amazon read the reviews of the store fronts before you choose one to buy from. Good luck.
If you don't have access to a credit card, buy a prepaid Visa.
- Would it be crazy to go back to a basic phone? I feel like smartphones have ruined us. I've disconnected from social media and can no longer access my accounts, however I feel like it still isn't enough. I'm still addicted to my iPhone. Would it be nuts for somebody in their early 20's to ditch smartphones and go back to a basic one with standard features like text and call?
- What if I put a basic phone sim card to an unlocked iPhone? I have a basic phone which can only call (I pay about $10 a month for this). But now I have an unlocked iPhone 5s, which I use for music. So I thought, why not put the sim card in the iPhone so I don't have to carry 2 phones. I DON'T want to have to pay for data. So, if I put the "basic phone" sim card in the iPhone, will it automatically charge me for the monthly data? Like $40-80 a month? (AT&T)
- What does it mean to be basic? Like a basic white girl? If someone was a "basic white girl" or "basic," what do they do, or how do they act?
- Switching to a basic phone from an iPhone? Long story short, I broke my iPhone 5c. It was still under the 1 year warranty, so Apple is going to replace it. However, they didn't have any in stock at my local Apple Store, but they were going to get a shipment in 3-4 days. I still have an old basic flip phone, so would I be able to switch to that for the next 3 days and then switch back to my iPhone? Would my Verizon data plan affect this at all?
