How to take a number from an old Iphone sim?

I have just recently bought an iphone 5, but i traded in my old iphone, i still have the sim to that iphone. I really need a number from that simcard, I tried to put the sim into a friends iphone but none of my contacts were on there. I Really NEED THIS NUMBER! How can i access it? Please somebody help me

If after trying in another phone and it's not there, it sounds very much like the number you want was saved to the phone and not the SIM card.

Is there any way you can contact who has the phone now and transfer onto the SIM card

Find someone with the same phone, or go to your nearest service provider… They will help you.

"None Of You Contacts Were There." I'm sorry but I don't think you have a chance. If your old phone was iPhone, running at least iOS 5, and running iCloud backup, then restore that backup to iPhone 5.
If you use iCloud, then check it, it will have your contacts.

Its not on the sim. You should have just backed it up with itunes, then copy it back… Simple but the sim won't help you.
