How to take data off of a iphone when broken?
My iphone 4 fell out of my pocket yesterday onto the floor and hit a couple of rocks.
Its completely smashed with bits of the screen missing.
Is there anyway to get my data(photos, contacts… ) off of there?
Just take your device to Apple's Service Centre, because they could only help you regarding this matter. But don't worry about your data it will be all safe and you will get it back.
Hi and thanks in advance for any help. A 1st Gen iPhone was brought to me, broken. The owner told me her husband got mad and threw it across the room. The screen of course was shattered. She asked me to see if there was any way I could retrieve her saved data off it. Apparently the only time she ever actually plugged it into iTunes was when she first activated it and has no backup of it. The phone won't turn on. I've plugged it into my computer and nothing happens. I took off the back cover and everything looks ok (I'm not internal expert or anything, but nothing is noticeably broken.) My question is this, does anyone know anything I can try to get it to come on so I can back it up?
Ok if it has a warranty you could send it in to get its screen fixed, or if you don't have a warranty and seeing as the screen is broke anyway then you could take the phone apart and get the sim card and memory card out of it and there you go.o. O
just thought about this, i think you can replace the screen like buy a new screen off ebay.
Or one other thing you should still be able to plug it up to itunes and you could transfer all of your stuff onto that.
TO what amelia said, if there isn't anything wrong with the hardware noticeable then maybe the battery is dead? Or out of place. But even if you can't see it there can still be a hardware problem. Try chargeing it for a while then plug it up to the computer and if that don't work try replacing the battery, then charge it and again if that don't work then there's a problem with the hardware that you can't see. Which you could solve in another way with what i said above this.
- Why does my iphone use data over night when cellular data is turned off? Every night I turn off cellular data and leave the iPhone on and one day I wake up and check my data manager and see i have already used 25 MB please help!
- When apple replaces a broken iphone, do you get to keep the old broken one? The back camera on my iPhone 4s broke (just stopped working), so I called Apple and I have an appointment set up to replace the old phone with a brand new one. But, I want to know if when they give me the new phone, will they let me keep the old one? The phone still works fine except for the camera. In fact, it's almost perfect. And obviously I want to sell the old one on ebay to make a boat load.
- IPhone turns off as soon as i take it off the charger? I have an iPhone 4 with iOs 6 and today it just turned off randomly and wouuld not turn back on. So i put it on the charger, and it turned on. But as soon as i took it off, it died again. It as at 65 percent and is not going up or don. I can't upgrade to iOs 7 because i don't have enough storage and i don't want to restart my phone. What do i do?!
