How to transfer iTunes purchases from one computer to another?
I might be getting a new computer and I'm worried about losing all my purchases… Most of the music can be replaced, but I've bought tv series and a couple movies that I would hate to lose and repurchase. How do I transfer these purchases from my Windows 7 laptop to possibly a Mac laptop? Is there a way I can use my iPhone 4S to help transfer?

Added (1). I should also add, most of the purchases made were on my dad's account, but I've since created my own account… So they're in my library, but I don't know if they'll be in the purchases when I transfer computers.

All your iTunes purchases will be in iCloud. When you download iTunes on your new laptop, just sign in with your account, and you'll see all your purchases in your music library. Just click on the little iCloud icon next to each song to download them. Do the same with your movies and TV shows. Just go to their respective libraries in iTunes, and you'll see them there ready for download. It's pretty self-explanatory. You shouldn't have too much trouble.
As for the songs purchased on your dad's account, I'm not sure how that would work. You could try signing out of your account and signing in with his to see if it also lets you download his previously purchased songs.

But it shows a message saying "There are purchased items on your iPhone that have not been transferred to your iTunes library before updating this iPhone. Are you sure you want to continue?"
