You mean iOS 7? It can't be downgraded, sorry.
It used to be possible, but once Apple stopped signing the earlier versions it was no longer possible. Basically, you're stuck with iOS 7 unless you want to go the unrecommended, warranty voiding, alternate method.

I can't back up my phone as every time i connect it to itunes it says i need to restore it and when i click restore it says i can't. And i want to back it up. Can i uninstall and reinstall to solve this problem? Or will i lose anything at all on my iphone? (not just music.contacts and texts and photos etc too) or can i make a new account and sync my phone with it as if it's the first time i've ever synced it? Would that work or screw it up?
