How to unlock an iphone 5s to put it on another carrier?
So i bought a phone from my friend but i didn't know it was locked but i want to put it o a different carrier. The phone is payed off already and my friend got the iphone 6 now so when i try to call to unlock it they talk about the ihpne 6 even tho i give the iphone 5 imei. So is there any other way i can? I've heard jailbreaking it will unlock it but i'm not sure. Any help i would appreciate that.
If its paid off then the carrier will unlock it, just tell your friend to do that… It can be done online by him.
What carrier is it locked to. Most carriers allow you to submit an unlock request on their website. You just need the IMEI number.
If everything is good, they'll unlock the iPhone in a few days. If you're very lucky like I was, it will take about 4 hours.
