How would I plan an Easter egg scavenger hunt?

I already plan to provide prizes. The prize is money. Significant amount money but nothing you can buy a car with or even a iphone.

Should I make it for teens and adults only or should I make it a family event. Since I plan to charge per head I don't know.

Also how many eggs should I have?

My idea is to get local businesses to participate in the hunt as advertisement goal. I plan to also purchase the material and blah blah blah. I just want them to let me use their space. I was thinking the first person to find all the eggs and comes back wins a prize. Or finds the most egg. Also their needs to be a time limit of maybe an hour or less.

Also should I stamp their hand or provide them with a sticker. So I know who pays.

If it's for children, make it relatively easy. Get a bunch of Easter themed toys. Check a store like Party City that typically has cheap toys in bulk. Then hide them in whatever area you plan to have the scavenger hunt. Give out a list of what they are to find and as they find things, they check it off the list. If they find 2 of the same thing, they should leave whatever it is for the next person to find. If you include eggs, make it specific but different for each person. 'Find a blue egg' or a 'striped egg' so it's more of a challenge.

Prizes should be pretty small, anyway. It's up to you about stamping hands or if you want to keep it limited to just finding eggs. You can get creative if you want, though! Here's another how-to for creating a scavenger hunt. Have a good time!
