I bought an iPhone that s stolen will jailbreaking fix it?
I purchased an iPhone 4 off amazon.com. When I received it, it was reported stolen and I couldn't activate it. I can't get a refund. I spent $300 on it and now I can't use it. My brother said he could jailbreak it but he is not sure if that will solve any of my problems.
No you need to return it to the seller jailbreaking it will just let you add stuff nothing will work
Unfortunately all the major carriers just announced they will de-activate any iPhone reported stolen. You can try to jailbreak but it may not matter due to the serial numbers tracked back to the carriers. My only suggestion is to put in a sim card from a small carrier like Metro PCS and see if they'll accept it. Or try putting in a sim card from AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint under a "Pay-as-you-Go" Plan, you buy the minutes, data and text plans up front, and many times the serial number is not needed. No jailbreak will not fix the problem.
- Will jailbreaking iPhone fix Net10's data cap? I have a iPhone 4s and I heard that Net10 caps data at 1.5GB. If I jailbreak the phone, would that be a workaround to have truly unlimited data? I know you can change the APN to get MMS to work. BTW, only AT&T, Straighttalk and Net10 works where I live. I would have to drive 50 plus miles for others to work. Which is out of the question!
