I broke/shattered my iPhone screen yesterday and I want to replace it

Okay, so some of my friends said that if I go to the Apple store that the replace my iPhone for free. Is this true? I don't have insurance on it, I don't think. Oh, and, if I do go to get it replaced, do I have to back up my stuff on my computer or iCloud?

Hi! If you don't have an Apple Warranty the Apple Store will not fix it for free. Do various searches around a 4/4S screen can be fixed for a price of 75-100$. The Apple Store might charge more.

  • Someone shattered my iphone screen and won't pay? So a kid a school kicked a soccer ball and it knocked my iphone out of my hand and shattered the screen… The guy won't pay or do anything about it. Like can i bring the cops or the school into this? I've never been in this situation before.

  • My iPhone 5 screen is shattered and LCD won't light up - Can this be repaired? My iPhone 5 was dropped… Well, projectile dropped in the direction of my boyfriend on Friday the 13th. The glass is completely shattered and the screen is black when I push the button. I can only see it light up slightly at the bottom. Is this something that can be repaired? If so, any idea how much that would cost?
