I dropped my iPhone 8 in the toilet this morning - I immediately grabbed it and it was submerged for only a few seconds?

All I had to do was wipe off the back of the case and the front part of the phone, as no water got inside the case itself - should it be okay? For the most part, I've had the phone completely turned off for a few hours.

Hopefully it'll be okay

I'd get it checked if I were you. The water could be slowly running inside it

It ll be okay

Dude its waterproof

If no water got inside the case then your phone should be fine.
your phone should have a water resistance rating that you can find online.

Put it in dry rice

It does have IP67 water resistance so it should be fine

Let it dry for a day and then wipe with a lens wipe to disinfect it.

Do not turn it on for a few days until any water that got inside has evaporated. BTW, how do people drop phones into toilets? I take my phone to the toilet but never is it actually ever over the toilet itself. What, are you wiping and holding your phone with the same hand?

  • Why does my internet disconnect for a few seconds and then reconnect? I have had this problem for months now, and I haven't had any luck with fixing it. We have gone through 4 different routers and 2 different modems. I have tired disabling stuff and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. This happens on all devices: ipods, xbox, computer, laptop, iphones. Does anyone know why this is?!
  • My iphone keeps on flashing and locking by itself every few seconds? Since 5 hours ago my iphone 5 has been flashing every 10 seconds intervals or so and it will lock by itself and turns on back to the lock screen by itself. It would even flash to the power off screen at times. I've tried syncing, charging and restarting my phone but things won't change. (I've had my phone for almost a year now + the decrease volume button is spoil) should i claim from warranty or are there any way i could resolve this flashing issue by myself?
  • My IPhone fell in the toilet for like four seconds? I dried it off and seeing that it worked fine, stupidly kept it on the rest of the night. Once I got home I did some research and my phone has been in rice and turned off for the last twenty four hours. If it was working fine before and I have had it in rice for the last 24 hours what are any other steps I should be taking to save my phone?
  • My Iphone 4S won't sync properly and it only wokrs for like 5 seconds but won't sync? It will only go for 5 seconds say its done and then it won't even sync my music. I hit apply and this has never happened to me before. I really need this quick.
