I got robbed at gunpoint?

Someone off a app was selling a iphone 7 plus for a good reasonable deal. He said to meet him at his apartment complex. I parked in the car waiting for him to come, 5 min later he comes to the side of my door demanding all the money i had in my wallet. I had about 650 $ frozen in shock. I called the police and they were searching for him i have gave them all the details. I'm very traumatized this never happened to me out of all the yeara i've been buyimg phones. I live paycheck to paycheck, are they gonna catch him for sure? Can i sue him for robbery?

If you can't identify him and serve him with a complaint, then you can't sue him.

Why can't people figure out Craig's List is full of scammer, if you are going to meet someone from it you meet them at the police station and it is really dumb to walk around with $650 in your pocket?
