Robbed and iPhone taken. What now?
On Monday my fiancé got robbed. Three guys came up to us punched him, dragged him to the ground and ripped his bag off, I tried to call 911 but one of them ripped the phone out of my hand. We filed a police report about it, but sadly I had no insurance on the phone. Is there any possible way to get it replaced without paying full price, possibly the price you pay when you get added to the family plan? I can't afford 300 dollars or so so what can I do?

You could try phoning your carrier and seeing if there's anything they can do for you? Sometimes they will well in the uk at least my wife broke her phone with no insurance and Vodafone in the UK let us buy a discount handset from them, So it may be worth trying you have nothing to lose.
Obviously there's no way anyone is picking up the cost of that unless you had home insurance and your house was robbed. Definitely call your phone carrier to see if they can deactivate anything at a minimum. If your contract is up just get iphone 4 which is free with a 2 year contract… Obvious not 5 but still a good phone and thats the best deal. If your contract isn't up then you can probably get a useed phone on craigslist cheaper since many have upgraded to 5.
