I have a dead pixel on my iPhone 4S and I want to take it back?

I have a dead pixel on my iphone and I'm taking it back tomorrow to try get a new one, I've had it for less then 30 days but the thing is I have a mm chip taken out the top of the back where the plastic bit hold the glass on to the frame of the phone. Will this make any differents in me getting a new phone back for this one I brought not long ago or will they refuse just cause the small chip? Please help I'm worried also will it be a refurb or a brand new phone they will give back?

Added (1). Could I get my money back from this also and I did go back and ask and they just said make an appointment with them which is tomorrow

Since you only had it for 30 days you should still have warranty, what will happen is that they will try their hardest to fix the dead pixel, they might change the LCD screen. Getting a brand new phone is very unlikely, but in the case that they can't fix it at ALL, then for sure they will give you a new one Although yours has a chip, once again its unlikely theyll give a new one.

If they replace it, it will be with a refurb, but they may not consider one dead pixel a failure.

Don't worry take it to the apple store they will have a look at it replace the entire phone and put all your old stuff from your old iphone to the new one or they will simply fix a dead pixel is covered by the warranty
