I need to save $2, 000 dollars in two months. READ DESCRIPTION?

If I can save another $2, 000 by April 2, I can get my first car. So far, I've been thinking about selling my iPhone 5, which I can get $600 very easily for. That would be a great jump start. I've also been thinking about selling an unopened Otterbox case, which are expensive.

I work for my stepdad, on Saturdays (I have school on the weekdays, and they close 2 hours after I get out, there would be no point). I make $50 every Saturday.

I'm also going to be pocketing the $10 a week that I get for lunch money, it wouldn't hurt me to miss a meal, lol.

Thirdly, I've been saving any change that I see. I've got one of those coin banks that count the money for you.

Any other tips? Or is this just impossible?

No, definitely doable. If you work. Crunch the numbers.

But will you have enough money to pay for the ETF fee for your cell phone contract? What about gas for the car? Repairs? INSURANCE?

I would think this through carefully. Car isn't just something you buy and that's it, there are maintenance costs.

As of February 2010, you have to be 21 and employed full time 12/18 months. Since you are under 25, no insurance agent would approve you for the insurance.

From now until April 2nd, you have about 9 weeks (not including the end of this week and not including the week of the 2nd).

In that time, you will make $450 at your job, earn $90 from hanging onto lunch money, and sell your iphone, which would get you up to $1140.

Get another job for after school, after your other job on saturdays, sundays, etc. You can go out and officially job hunt, or you can find odd jobs to do: shovel snow, weed gardens, mow lawns, baby-sit, pet-sit, house-sit, walk dogs, clean houses, run errands for people, type things up for people, proof-read, etc. Be creative with your skills.

And don't not each lunch, just pack it at home and bring it.
