I was robbed? What can i do?

Ok i was going back home after a haircut & then there this guy came and said in a cheering voice,"Brother, Do you want a Laptop?" I was interested and followed him to his car. There he showed me Iphone 5C and IPads and latest Laptops to buy! All 3 he was selling for £1000 at first! Then i said how about selling this for £250. He didn't say anything and put the 3 things in a bag! Then again he asked me and i said £250 and he said no… Then he went a bit forward and then once again he asked me and he agreed! He took the money and gave me the bag (briefcase). And when I got home the bag was empty. He probably exchanged the bag when he took his car a bit forward! That *** took my money! I know its my fault but is there anything i can do?

You can file a police report.that's about it though.

Well, you should report it to your local police! If he wasn't wearing a mask then I'm pretty sure you saw a descriptive image of his face!

No you can't do anything. It's a lesson for you to learn from… Never buy something too good to be true.

Report him to the police. If you remember his car type/license plate, any distiguishing features, how tall he was, make sure you write it down so you don't forget and then tell the police that.

That happens all of the time. I just saw that happen to someone on the local news. If any one approaches you in a parking lot saying they are selling something, run away. If they are legitimately trying to sell something, they would do it somewhere other than the parking lot. Like craigslist or ebay. Plus E250 is too good to be true. 1) Those items may have been stolen (they most likely were), or 2) You might come home and find that the iPad you just got a great deal on is actually a $200 piece of paper.

Feel free to report it. But don't think for a second that the police are going to be that interested in arresting a guy who conned a person that was perfectly willing to buy stolen merchandise.

if you call the police you can get busted too for trying to purchase it.

if you call the police you have to tell them a man is selling stolen products. And do not say you tried to buy one

There's a saying: "You can't con an honest man".

You knew the gear was likely stolen but ignored that fact because you thought you were getting a bargain. Instead you got scammed, and now are bleating because someone you surely suspected was a thief proved that's exactly what he is.

What you can do about it is to learn your lesson and be grateful you're not being prosecuted for being in possession of stolen goods.

Call the police!
