If i buy an iPhone 5 with contract can i take it outside of USA?
Not particularly an iPhone but any phone with contract

Yes, but if you don have a plan for calling or texting out of the country, it will cost a fortune. It cost me 650$ for just a little texting, and calling.
Yeah you can, but then you are making international calls. I know people from india that when they go back to india they put a new card in their iphone so calls are local there, then switch it back when they get back to the US Imessage is always free though even internationally.
