If I switch my iPhone 5 Sim Card to a factory unlocked iPhone 5, will it still work?
I have AT&T. If I take out my current iPhone 5 sim card and place it into another iPhone 5 that is factory unlocked and purchased from Apple will it automatically transfer all the memory to the new iPhone?
The only thing that will happen is that the new device will have telephone service with the same number.
Apple doesn't use the SIM card for any sort of data storage.
If you want to replicate the original handset, you'd need to make a full backup (to iCloud or your computer), then do a restore to the new device.
The answer is no. You will need to re-download and re-setup your icons. They only thing that is stored on the sim card is - maybe - your contacts.

I have an iphone 4S and it reads Att sim card no problem, i had the phone factory unlocked and it even said Congratulations your iPhone is unlocked after i restored it in iTunes, but all it says is no service i tried two different T-Mobile sim cards. I even checked my imei number online and it said the phone was factory unlocked. Is there anything i can try, i've never ran across something like this.

I purchased a used 32GB factory unlocked iPhone 4S on ebay and it will not activate with my t-mobile sim card no matter what I try either on the phone or in itunes. I'm pretty sure the phone is unlocked because I looked up the IMEI number online and it said the phone was unlocked. I did trim the sim card myself so it could fit in the iphone but it still works in my old phone still so I know i didn't damage the sim card. Any help on how to resolve this would be appreciated!
