IPhone 4 going out of the United States?

I have Verizon and I have an iPhone 4. What I would like to know is I do not think I'm going to get the international roaming because my friends have international SIM cards and I can call on their phones but can I still use my phone to take pictures or am I going to get charged while my phone is on? I'm going to Bermuda so I thought I would ask and any other helpful information I should know would be appreciated.

You will not get charged for taking pictures. It's best if you do not send texts or call while being out of the country, because only then can you get charged extra for international roaming. Taking pictures is within the phone, and does not need to be connected with a provider in order for the option to function. Plus, the images get saved to your phone's HDD or your SD card, not in a network.

I'm a student studying abroad from the United States in Ireland, and I ordered the iphone 5 because I had the upgrade with my phone company there. I got it to delivered to my moms house in california. Now I'm wondering if she ships it to me as a gift, will I still have to pay VAT on it when it arrives?   • SimCard Activation for United States? I live in Canada and I'm planning to go to New York, My plan was to bring my phone device over there however I didn't want to do a international plan with my phone company as they are TOO EXPENSIVE! I wanted to get a "Pay As You Go" or "Cheap" plan with a SimCard just for ONE WEEK. Does anyone know which carrier I can do this with? And who supports the new IPhone 5 or IPhone in general? Also the phone company I'm with now is FIDO. Any suggestions?
  • Miniclip 8-Ball Pool Update removed avatar and thinks I'm in United States? I play 8-Ball Pool via Miniclip mostly on my iPhone but ever since I've updated it, it seems to think that I live in the United States and it won't let me choose my Avatar any more… Is there a way on amending this?
