IPhone 4 has water damage, can it be fixed?
I want an iPhone and my friend is selling me one for $50 and I took a look at it and it's in really good condition (physically), he told me the screen was messed up and it's because he forgot his iPhone4 was in his pocket and it got water damage when he washed his clothes in the washer. The phone works perfectly fine, it just blinks a lot and the screen is faded and it just looks distorted. But you can understand what it says and all. I just wanna know if it can be fixed at some store (not apple, there are a lot of stores here that repair iphones) and how much would it cost? If it can be fixed I'll probably buy it and just get it fixed at the store and connect it.

Hard to say, but probably you can fix it, if only problem is screen, but fixing iPhone isn't cheap.
You have to contact apple. Apple has a 1 year warranty on any iDevice you buy from their store. If you break it within one year of purchase of the iPhone, they will fix it for free. If he took any components out of the iPhone, or messed up the internal organs, that one year warranty is voided, therefore, they will not fix it. I obviously don't know where you live, so i don't know what store you are talking about. If that phone is broken within one year of purchase, they will send you a new one for free. That is why it is 1 year warranty. Send or walk into apple and ask them, bring your friend too, because they may or may not need him. You, yourself can fix the iPhone. Just go on ebay and search for "iPhone 4 color swap/screen replacement" and youll be able to find a replacement there. Order and wait for it to arrive. Then use youtube to find out how to take the whole thing apart, (trust me, EVERYTHING. I would know because i did a color swap on my 4S) And it will walk you step by step.
Apple will not fix water damaged iphones, and a local shop will charge more than a new iphone 4 costs.
- My iphone has water damage? - 1 I dropped my iphone 4 in the sink and it was literally in there for two seconds but none of the speakers work. The phone still works perfectly but i can't even talk on the phone because i can't hear anything. I know the apple insurance that i have doesn't cover water damage but how much would it cost me to have it fixed? Will they give me a whole new phone or just fix it?

Today i started experiencing some problems with the speakers, they tend to work and then not work and then work again. - Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
