Iphone 4S glass cheaper to replace myself?
My iPhone dropped out of my pocket last Saturday and the glass on the back has completely smashed. I've taken it in to a third party repair service as the smashed glass means it is now out of warranty bland they want £100 to replace the glass or I can buy a kit off the Internet for about £6 would it be better to buy the kit and do it myself to save sone money or should I get it done by someone who knows what they are doing?
Hi
its cheaper and VERY RISKY to attempt repair on your iPhone if you don't know what you are doing. If you think its worth killing your phone for few £'ss then its up to you.first thing iPhone can't be replaced by another glass without using the right tools. MANY professionals change the whole front which is GLASS AND LCD,
The best option is to get it done by professionals The Phone Box is located in Newport UK you can contact them and send the phone to them for repair and they will post it back to you they charger £45 that is including the part and labour and you might have to pay extra for postage. They give about 6 months warranty on new Glass and LCD as well.
I wouldn't do it yourself, actually I wouldn't have it done at a third part store either. When mine broke, I was told by Apple that there was no way to repair that model and I had to trade in my old one and they gave me a new one at a discounted rate.
- What do I need to replace cracked front iphone 4 glass? Verizon. What is the LCD? The CDMA seems to be the Verizon phone. What is the LCD? Do i need my front glass to have that if I'm replacing it or will my iphone already have the old one for me to use? My boyfriend is helping me put the front glass on and he builds computers. Just not sure about the LCD
- Back of my iphone is smashed, is it easy to replace the back myself? So. I'm in idiot and dropped my Iphone on hard flooring in my bathroom. The front is fine, luckily. Otherwise I would of flipped out. I need to know if it is easy to replace the back, i've heard of multi color backings as well. Anyone know if this is easy and if there's a place online I can buy a new back?
- Should I replace my shattered iPhone 5 front glass myself or take it in? I ordered the front glass for my iphone 5 since it recently got shattered, the LCD works fine though. I heard it is risky it fix it myself so should I just take it in? Or is fixing it myself is a better option for the money?
- My glass iPhone screen has smashed, Would apple replace it for me? I have an iPhone 4s My phone is working perfectly accept for the smashed screen I have had it for 7 months I have no insurance I did not buy the phone directly from an apple shop If I made an appointment would they fix it for free?
