IPhone 4S randomly turns off.possible water damage?
I'm just wondering if there's any point in trying to fix my iPhone. For a while now it would randomly shut down. I then noticed the battery was draining quite fast. I made the mistake if changing the battery myself. Now it's much worse. I took it to Apple and they won't do anything because I opened it. They noticed (and I noticed) it looked like there was water damage up top in a screw near where the camera is (probably from my cat knocking water over on it). After changing the battery it now shuts off if I use the camera. I'm just wondering if there's any point in fixing it, or if I should just bite the bullet and get a new phone?
Goto the phoneshop you bought it from hopefully they can fix it for you.
Your due for an update. If you don't want to spend the money go with the 5C, they are pretty cheap. You can always sell your 4s to someone who wants to try and fix it, just make sure you are forthcoming with all that is wrong.
- Possible water damage on iPhone 5s? Ok so I went hiking and I didn't have pockets, so I put my phone on my side between my shorts and skin. The hike was difficult so I ended up sweating and I totally forgot my phone was on my side instead of my backpack. As gross and stupid as it may sound, I think my phone has possible water damage from my sweat. However, the screen is still responsive and fine yet the home button does not work when I press it. However the fingerprint scan still works. Will putting it in rice help?
- Possible iPhone water damage? I knocked a can of Dr Pepper onto my iPhone and it mainly went onto my screen however some of the liquid might have somehow got into my charging hole or earphone jack. It's being about 5 minutes and my phone is fine, however should i take any precautions like putting it in rice just incase? Or because it's fine should I leave it?
- Possible iphone 5s water damage? Alright so i put my phone (speaker/outlet thing down) into a cupholder today and there was water in the bottom of it and now my phone turns off and won't turn back on any time i hit the sleep/lock button. Does this sound like water damage? If it does, do you know how i can fix it/dry it out? If it doesn't, do you know what might be wrong with it?
- My iphone turns off randomly? Ok, recently I had my iphone 3gs broken. The battery inflated to the point where it broke the outer casing of the phone. I recently transfered the board into an iphone 3g case, and ever since its been shutting down randomly with no warning. It shuts down on or off the charger, but everything else seems to be working just fine.
