IPhone 4s texting: Messages?
My mom is planning on getting me an iPhone but she had already established that she will not buy the texting plan.
And on an iPhone, that green app: Messages is supported in the iPhone…
If I don't buy the texting plan… Can I still send text msgs on it?
Because on my itouch, I use the Message to text people…
The messaging app is free to any idevice like the ipad to iphones to ipod touches. You can still send texts from the messages instead of imessages to idevices, but there will be charges for each text you send and receive without the texting plan.
you could always download a texting app from the app store, all it will use is your data and will not put any charges to your phone.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- Why do iPhone messages come up as picture messages on other phones? When my friend sends me texts, she has an iphone, they come up as picture messages and i can't revieve them on my phone because my plan doesn't cover picture messages. Can she change the settings so it won't come up as a picture?
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- Texting notification to the person I'm texting? How do I change on my iPhone 5s so the person I'm texting doesn't see that I'm texting them with the bubble
