IPhone 4S: Wi-Fi problem in Settings app?
This is ridiculous, I was just using my iPhone when it suddenly disconnected from Wi-Fi. I went into the Settings app, I tapped on "Wi-Fi" and it froze there (only the app was frozen, I could still close it). So I close it and tried several times until finally I went into the Wi-Fi setting. It was searching for connections but it just kept searching and didn't even show up my Wi-Fi connection. I tried resetting it by holding down the sleep button (the one used to lock/unlock iPhones) and home button simultaneously but it still didn't work. I've also tried normal restart by first shutting it down and let it boot up again, problem is still there.
What's the steps I should do next? Should I restore my iPhone or wait for it to magically repair itself?
Sometimes it got worse till the whole iOS froze up for about 10+ seconds. Other apps work perfectly fine. Other settings in Settings app are still accessible.
Running on iOS 7.1.1.
If it's Wi-Fi problem out it in freezer for a bit
If there's a software corruption which does happen you may have to restore it. Try this: Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will have to re join your wi-fi network.
- What settings will it change if I press reset all settings on my iPhone? Also, will this help speed up my iPhone because that's what I've heard. Because my iPhone has been so slow lately and taking like 3-5 minutes to send 1 text. If you know of any other ways that could help speed that up please also let me know that.
- In my school there's a NO PASSWORD Wi-Fi but you can't connect. Some can, because he change something in settings in phone in Wi-Fi settings? Please tell me how! I need it very much, if somebody help me, i give him steam key. I need to know ho to do that on iPhone. He just add some port or something like that.
- Reset network Settings iPhone 5 problem? My iPhone 5 was jailbroken. I did a reset network settings since my network wasn't working for over an hour already. I got to the apple logo then it went all black. It didn't turn on. I tried doing hard reset but it didn't work. All it did was turned it on to the apple logo then turn off again. Would it be okay to just try and update my phone? It on an ios 8 right now.
- Iphone app to change text settings? I was wondering if their is an iphone app that will change the way my texting looks? I'm new to using an iphone an have been an Android user for years so i don't know the limitations of iphone yet. Android has apps that let you change the way your texting looks. Does iphone have anything like that? Something able to have a background image for my texts or a way to change the color of the chat bubbles?
