IPhone 4S won't stop Checking for Updates?
I'm currently on iOS 7.0.4 and I want to update to 7.1, but whenever I go to the Settings app and then Software Update, it never stops saying "Checking for Updates", and the circle spins endlessly. On my iPad 2, however, it will load just fine.
I'm jailbroken on my iPhone 4S currently, but I wanna restore and get to 7.1, which it won't let me do. Any suggestions on what to do? I already restarted my phone several times and did a hard reset (holding the home and power button down together until it shut off), but neither helped.
Any help is much appreciated!
I don't really know much at all about this sort of thing, but i think i heard once that if you jailbreak your iphone you can't update it. This could be completely untrue, i'm not sure
- Why won't the Apple store allow me to see my updates? I have an iPhone 3GS on iOS 6.1.2, and I'm having trouble with the app store. I can download new apps, and I can see the red number 4, letting me know that I have 4 new updates. However, the updates section stays blank and will not show me what apps need to be updated! What do I do! Is anyone else having this problem!
- When are updates due to stop for the iPhone 4S? I'm looking at getting an iPhone 4S on a 2-year contract soon. However, now the iPhone 5 is out I know that they stop updates on the older iPhone devices, e.g. The iPhone 3G(s) can no longer receive a lot of the new updates. If I get the 4S on a 2-year contract will the updates etc.stop within this time?
- My apps updates won't work, but I can't cancel it? I tried updating some of the games and apps on my iPhone 4 and I got a message saying something along the lines of 'unable to download application at this time'. Instead of canceling it, though, it keeps trying to update them and I can't access my applications as a result. Any idea on how to fix this, or at least how to cancel the update?
- ICloud problems. Won't stop connecting iPhone and iPod. Need steps to stop it? I have an iPhone and my little sister has a iPod that are both set up under my name. Ever since I updated her iPod everything I download starts downloading on her iPod. I even deleted my iCloud account on my phone and her iPod (ended up losing all my contacts over this).It's starting to get really annoying. Can someone please give me steps I can follow to end this connection. Don't tell me to call apple or whatever because I don't have 2 hours to sit on the phone.
