IPhone 5 7.1.1 iCloud Activation Lock?
Bought a second hand iPhone 5 iOS 7.1.1 and found out that it was iCloud locked. Guy I bought it from won't answer his phone. This iPhone was not stolen or lost as a Telus rep. Confirmed it.
Tried everything I could find online to no luck. This is so irritating and it is really upsetting that nothing is working because I have spent around $300 in total with this iPhone 5.
Can someone Please help me. Anything will help. I'm desperate for a solution. Any good answer is appreciated.
This is a major flaw with apples "security" features, you were scammed, there's no way to bypass it Apple loves landfill. I-cloud effectively just helped to make a second victim in addition to the original owner without removing the criminal from the equation.

The phone is most likely stolen. Many owners don't report the phone stolen in a way that will show up later.
- Old iphone Icloud lock still enabled after I buy a new iPhone with icloud on it? If I had my iPhone stolen with icloud lock on and I was tracking it. But I buy a new one and activate the icloud and tracker, does that mean the old iPhone is unlocked? What happens to it? Will I be notified if someone turns it on? Can I track it?

- Is it possible to Lose iCloud Activation lock by Downgrading to iOS 6 on iPhone 4? I have a iCloud locked iPhone 4 which was factory unlocked. I hacktivated it using win SCP and now the sim won't work. So i thought why not downgrade to a version when Activation Lock wasn't even created. That way i will have a fully working iPhone on iOS 6 right? Is that possible?

I don't know and can't contact the previous owner so I can't get their apple ID to sign in so I can unlock the device. What do i do?
