IPhone 5 fell in toilet. Am I SOL?

So being the genius I'm, I dropped my iPhone 5 in the toilet. I immediately took it out and dried it off. I played around on it to see if everything was okay. I even called my sister and the speakers sounded off. Everything else was fine and it is now in rice. I'd say it took me about 15 minutes to get it in rice, but I shut it off in about 3 mins. Am I SOL? Will it be okay?

Just need leave the phone alone in the rice for 2 - 3 days to completely dry out and hope for the best. It would have best to have turned the phone off right away, live and learn, right.

I'd be more concerned about your addiction to phones that you have to take it into the toilet with you.

Rice rice rice

  • What should I do to make sure my iPhone 4s still works after it fell in the toilet? My iPhone fell in the toilet yesterday and I put it in a bowl of rice for 24 hours. I took it out and charged it and it worked. I want to make sure that it won't glitch and die, so should I keep it in a bowl of rice while charging it for a day? I also noticed that when I was charging it at first, it started heating up… Should I be concerned?
  • My iphone fell into the toilet? I took it out right away and put it in rice, overnight, at first it said "overheated" now it works perfectly except that the home button is broken and the screen has dark spots on it, should i leave it in rice a little longer?
  • My iPhone fell into the toileT After this, my mother put it onto a radiator and it went really hot. I then put it into some uncooked rice. I'm afraid that the heat may have damaged it as it was working after it had been in the water but it won't now. It just won't turn on. It is now in the rice, will it ever work again?
  • My iphone fell into a toilet? Okay so i probably sound dumb af right now but yeah. And so i put it in rice but its weird because i'm still getting all my calls & notifications so its like on but not? Do you think this is a bad sign? I just put it in about an hour ago. Oh & it was only in the water for around 5-10 seconds.
