It's only free on contract if you have had the contract for over a year.
Vodafone charges £19.99 to unlock PAYG phone. You will need to have this as available credit. It will usually take about 48 - 72 hours and you will ned to connect it to iTunes when Vodafone tells you. This is because they send the request through Apple.
- Unlock my iPhone 4 from vodafone to iinet? My iPhone 4 is locked to Vodafone but i want to unlock my iPhone 4 to iinet as i have changed plans. I have looked on the internet but I can't find out how to unlock it to iinet. I also don't want to spend too much money unlocking it as I have seen it is expensive unlocking to other networks online.
- Uk Mobile Vodafone with an American Pay as you go sim? I will be going on holiday to america in 5 days for 3 weeks. I currently have a Vodafone Iphone 5 and I want to take it with me but I'm a little scared about the bills I may rack up on the internet whilst using. I was wondering if I take my contract sim out in the UK and then buy a Vodafone pay as you go sim in america and top it up so that I'm able to use the internet. Would this work?
- Network unlock my iphone to use in england with vodafone? I have an iphone 4 that i want to bring with me this summer to england. Does anyone know how i can unlock it to be able to use it with vodafone?
- Is pay as you go better than pay monthy for an iphone? I can either can an iphone 4 (32gb with small scratch on screen) for 100 pounds and then have a pay as you go sim or an 8gb iphone 4 for "effectively 14.88 a month". Which works out the better deal?
