IPhone 5 will not connect to school Wi-Fi?

I put in the password and a loading circle comes up, but nothing happens. We have iPads and I thought it would be very easy for me to connect, unfortunately not. I resented my network settings and tried to forget network then re-enter pass code.

Usually the schools use routers like TP-Link or Huawei.
The main reason that you can't connect to the internet is that you are typing the password wrong. If you're sure that the password is correct then the router settings might have changed,
Someone could have enabled the MAC Address filtering option in the router page or simply your phone's (MAC Address) is banned from accessing the internet.

Are you supposed to be able to connect to the school Wi-Fi? If the Wi-Fi is only for iPads the school owns then there's a good chance they are running advanced security which is either doing MAC address filtering or using certificates of some sort. In that case you will not be able to connect a personal device. I would suggest asking someone at the school why you can't connect. If you aren't supposed to be able to connect then they'll tell you that, otherwise they should be able to help.
