Iphone 5s or an DSLR camera?
For what? For general applications and phone calls- the iPhone 5s- for photographs the DSLR.
Gettinmg high quality pictures is not related to the number of pizels- the lens and size of sensor are far more important, and in that area no phone camera can compete with a DSLR
I'd go with the Nikon. I'm happy with my $20 Trac phone…
Ones a phone and one isn't so it depends which you really need.
You will struggle to make a phone call, access the internet, send emails or load apps into a DSLR so I guess the iPhone is way better.
Depends what you need it for. They're 2 completely different things
You can't make a call with the dSLR but you can't take control of the camera on the phone. The mere fact that you are asking this means you are leaning towards the phone. Get the phone You know that is what you really want.
Phones are for communications - DSLRs are for photos.
Many Nikon DSLRs these days have Wi-Fi capability meaning you can control the basic functions of the DSLR - take a photo with a DSLR - then transfer the photo to an iPhone for uploading to a social media site.
