IPhone 5S Touch ID not working? - 1

I got the new ios 7.1 update yesterday. My Touch ID then was working fine before and after. I got it in the night so after that I went to sleep. When I woke my Touch ID was not working, it would not even read my finger. It would just stay there on the same screen saying slide to unlock.

I've tried to go into Touch ID settings to try scan my finger in again but it still did not read it.

What should I do?

Thats weird, turn it off and back on to see if that resolves it.

  • Why is my iPhone 4's touch screen not working well? I have an iPhone 4, and has recently stopped working properly. When I unlock it, it will sometimes take at least 5 swipes to work. It's even worse when I try to put in my passcode. In the middle of playing a game or texting someone, the touch screen will stop working, and I can't tap. The home and power button still work just fine, but I need to power off and then back on again to get it working again. If anyone can help, it is greatly appreciated.

  • Iphone cracked, touch not working, can't unlock - how to back up? My iPhone cracked today, and the the screen's gone completely white. The phone still works (ie it still charges, rings, etc), but the touch isn't working and I can't see the screen at all. I'm trying to back everything up onto my computer so that I don't lose all of my photos, etc… But I can't, because iTunes tells me I need to unlock my iPhone first.

I tried cleaning the button, turning the phone on and off again, and even re-registering my fingerprints. Nothing is working!
