Iphone 6 has trouble connecting to home Wi-Fi, but other devices connect to it flawlessly?
Added (1). I noticed recently that I can't pick up a Wi-Fi signal from my router unless I'm standing beside it or in a close room. I have checked with other devices and this is not the case -- the Wi-Fi connects flawlessly and it is as fast as it always has been. It's just my phone! I have the latest iOS installed and have cleared networking data many times, but it still continues to not work. Any help is appreciated.
Added (2). I can connect to public Wi-Fi and other homes' networks, just not mine.
I think the router is not allowing just your device to connect. It's called MAC Address filtering, blocking your iPhone 6 MAC Address (basically its ID number for Wi-Fi). The way to fix it is to add your iPhones MAC address to the whitelist (or remove it from the blacklist) or reset the router and all its settings. If none of these work, you might need to get a newer router.
- One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
- None of my devices will connect to my home wi-fi but my family's work fine? So it started when I was using my laptop at home and the wireless connection suddenly became "limited" (I use windows 8). My phone won't work either. I used "forget network" for both of my devices and started anew, but nothing, still "limited". My family's devices are just fine, it won't connect as long as the device is mine apparently… It's an iPhone the phone I'm using.
- My Wi-Fi won't connect on my laptop but will connect to my other devices (an iPhone and iPad)? I have a MacBook Air. Sometimes it does connect but other times it just won't. It takes ages connecting and then in the end comes up with the exclamation mark or is just blank. Is this a problem with my laptop? I've tried researching the problem but have found nothing.
- My iphone will not connect to my home Wi-Fi. It can connect to any other network with no problems All my other devices at home connect with no problem, but once i updated my phone it won't connect here. I've reset the router, my network settings, forgot this network, even wiped out my phone and it still won't work. I changed the dns several times. Sometimes that works for a little while, but then eventually stops. What the hell?
