Iphone 6 plus and iphone 5 sim card?

So i have switched sim cards from the iphone 5 to iphone 6 plus it works but does it affect anything on iphone 6 plus because i have read that it isn't compatible will it make it slower to use or anything like that?

The size is not a problem as they both take the nano sim card but the iphone 6 is a 4G capable phone and the iphone 5 is not so you only have an issue if you wish to be on a 4G plan.

First thing is to decide if 4G is important to you, then find out if it is available in your area because some are not yet covered, if you do want it you will need to contact your service provider to find out if they offer coverage in your area/places you frequently go.

If they do you will then need to find out if you can change your plan and if this will cost any extra, you will also need them to send you a new 4G capable sim card but you can keep your number in most cases.

If 4G is not important to you and you are happy to carry on using 3G data then there's no problem and you don't need to do anything, some people are happy with 3G speeds, i'm happy with it despite having a 4G capable phone because i get a heavy discount on my current plan and i think my phone is very responsive and fast already.

4G will certainly be faster though so it's really your choice, if you do go for it after inserting your new sim you will need to enable LTE in your mobile settings, do not enable this unless you have a 4G plan because doing so can affect battery life and reliability.

So to sum up it's all about speed, only change if you want to go faster and if you don't you won't have any problems with your current sim, last thing to remember is that if you have 4G you are likely to move through the web faster and in turn use more data so you may need a plan with a higher allowance if that is what you decide.

A SIM is a SIM. Nothing to worry about in terms of compatibility. Fact remains, they both use the same nanoSIM.

Don't worry about what people say, SIM from iPhone 5 are LTE compatible so don't worry. They've been also telling that you can charge your iPhone in the microwave after the iOS 8 update.
