IPhone 6plus has some water damage and now there's no sound, but speakers seem to work?

So I accidentally dropped my phone into the sink but it wasn't the whole phone, I actually caught the phone before it entirely fell, there honestly wasn't even much water however there was still a little water. Some of it may have went inside the bottom of the phone which is where the speaker is located, & charger portal. The phone charges fine. Works fine, but there's no volume! /; I was using YouTube and listening to music when it slipped, then after I pulled the phone out the volume was no longer there. But when I go to settings to raise the volume bar the ringer works fine and the volume works fine. So there's sound. I just don't know what the issue is. I reset my phone but just the reset where nothing is really changed & nothing changed. So I then quickly shut my phone off & placed it in a zip block bag full of rice and am planning on leaving it in for 2-3 days. All this happened within 15 minutes so not much time would be wasted. But I personally don't think it was water damage because I would ALWAYS slip my IPhone 4S in the sink and it always worked fine, it's not like the whole phone went into a sink full of water.

I think it may just take a while to clear out. Give it a couple of days. If not, then it is water damaged.
