IPhone 7 Plus submerged in water! What do I do?
I got my iPhone 7 Plus screen fixed less than a month ago and was told it will not be was water resistant anymore. Well, the phone fell into water, completely submerged. I panicked, took it out, and turned it on (found out later you're not supposed to). I took off the case and dried it off. The phone was working fine after I turned it on but while I was getting rice to put the phone in, it shut down by itself and now when I hold the power button it shows the apple logo and then turns into a black screen and it turns off again. I'm not sure what to do now and I have a feeling I fried my phone. I took out the SIM card and now the phone is in a bowl of uncooked rice (which has worked for me before with my 5c). What else must I do?
You've fried your phone, time to find out it's scrap value and put that towards a new one.
Well pull it out of the water?
- What to do if iPhone gets submerged in pool? Ok, so my iPhone 5s was in the Lifeproof case and I took it swimming with me. The charging port came open and some water got in and water probably got in the phone. The water has chlorine in it and I heard when the phone dries, it leaves residue behind and you should treat it in a pure grain alcohol bath. I only have 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Will this work?
- My iphone was fully submerged in a pool for several minutes? I'm trying the rice method which I have read about with mixed results, but I assume it is going to be a complete loss. I have read something about an out of warranty replacement. It is a 4s and bought less than a year ago. Does anyone have experience with this?
- My iphone 5 got fully submerged in water So I was swimming with my friend in our lake and my iPhone 5 was in my pocket. And I jumped in. We swam for about 5 minutes. When we came back. Well, you know the rest. Now, I let it dry and plugged it in. Came on, no water damage on screen. Looked fine. But shut off shortly after. Is this recoverable? If so, how?
- Is it possible to fix an iphone 4s which have been submerged into water? I dropped my Iphone 4s into the toilet bowl recently. I did quickly fished it out in less than 5 seconds but i tried to test and use it for a while and a few minutes later it shut down on its own. The next morning i send it for repair. It has been 4 days since i send it for repair. Is it possible to save it? I'm really worried, if you send it for water repair does it usually take so long?
