Iphone app for taking multiple positions in one photo?

Sorry but John is wrong. I couldn't get your link to work, but I know what you mean.

You do not need an expensive camera to do multiple exposures, but you can't do it with an app - you need software that can handle layers (Gimp is free & can do it).

I have an expensive DSLR, but just to prove it can be done with a smartphone (& a little knowledge of software), this is what i got using my Samsung Galaxy S3 mini;

6 images, taken handheld with my phone. Layered in CS6 (Gimp will do layers) and the appropriate 'bits' erased in the layers. Image flattened & saved. Done!

Not to start some garbage but I think you're both off a little for this particular photo. The techniques you mention are correct from a technical standpoint but this photo is a burst sequence combined into a single photo without flash. It should be fairly clear that flash wasn't used here given the horrible shadows all over the photo pointing in the same direction. The subject, the wall behind the subject, the garbage can on the far right. Everything says sunlight at camera right. Deep Blue, what you did with your smartphone is combining images but it's completely different from the photo here. Not sure how you call someone out as being wrong when you can't see the original photo. Here's a video of the process on another photo.

If the link doesn't load search for Gavin Hoey action and look for the motocross video.
