Iphone backup restore won't on new iphone 5s?
Ok so i had a 5s and it broke and i had a warranty so i got a new one. I backed up the old one and i tried to restore it on the new one but itunes said it couldnt because the software of the old one wasn't updated (old one was ios 7.1 and new is ios 7.2). It told me i had to set it up as a new iphone and then restore so i did that and only the restore from my first iphone showed up (which is weird because that software isn't updates). Now Its only restored from 2012 and the newest backup restore won't show up. Should i restore the whole new iphone so its back to factory settings or?
Just set it up as a new phone. You'll lose all your text messages but that's not really a huge issue.
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- Restore new iPhone with only some backup? My old Iphone 4 which was 32GB was stolen and so I bought a new iPhone 4 but its only 4GB. When I try to restore it with my old iphone's backup it says its incompatible and I'm assuming this is because there's too much memory needed for the smaller space. Is there a way I can only put my contacts on to save memory?
- Restore backup to new iPhone? I would like to restore backup from my old iPhone to my new iPhone in iTunes. Will the high scores of the applications also be restored?
- Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
