IPhone connection in 2009 Mazda CX-7?

I was wondering if there's some sort of cable I could buy to connect my iPhone 5 to in the car so that I could listen the the music from my phone?

I would highly recommend getting an aftermarket head unit with a 3.5mm AUX input.

I would install a $50 fm modulator rather than a $200 head unit. That gives you an aux input that plays like its own radio station without interference. If I was in the business of selling stereos, of course I'd try to convince you that the only way is to replace your stereo. Yes that does work and you can choose as many additional options as they provide. You only asked to play your iphone through the stereo though., so I take it you're satisfied with the stereo you have.

Mazda put many different sound systems in their vehicles so you would have to look at the owners manual for that system to see if it is possible to plug in an external device. If it has a USB port or other aux connection, it is usually pretty obvious on the face of the unit though.
