IPhone dongle went through washing machine?

I accidentally left the dongle (lightning to aux adapter) in the pocket of a jacket that went through the washing machine. The cord s completely dry, so is there any harm in trying to plug it into the iPhone and an aux cord to see if it still works?

If it is dry, nope

NO WAY TO GUESS IT IS STILL WORKING OR NOT, EXCEPT TRY IT. MAKES NO HARM TO TRY IT.

  • What should I do with my iphone after it went through a 15 minute washing cycle? I don't know if this matters but my phone was cracked before it went through the wash and now it has a tiny chip in it. There was also detergent and fabric sofenter.

My phone was wet but there didn't seem to be too much damage. The music still played fine and i could hear people on calls. But then i noticed a screen discoloration in the bottom left corner! Is this bad? Do i need to go to the Apple Genius Bar or to the Verizon store? I'm soaking it in rice now and it is still in warranty.
  • Iphone 6 in washing machine screen unresponsive? It got soaked, for about 3 minutes before i realized it was missing. Took it out, put it in rice, it turns on but the screen does not respond to touch. The screen never went black and its impossible to turn off without swiping the off thing. (I've tried holding down the home button and off button but its just a reset) anyway to shut it off without a reboot? And what should I do?
