My iphone 5 was in the washing machine
It was in the pocket of a pair of sweatpants for about 5 minutes by the time i realized i had left it in there the water had just started to run. My phone was wet but there didn't seem to be too much damage. The music still played fine and i could hear people on calls. But then i noticed a screen discoloration in the bottom left corner! Is this bad? Do i need to go to the Apple Genius Bar or to the Verizon store? I'm soaking it in rice now and it is still in warranty.
Hey chill out
Its toast. If not right now, then very soon. Warranty does not cover water damage. Hope you have some savings.
Warranty is VOID due to water damage so Verizon or Apple will replace it
Water damaged then you have to go to Apple store, Verizon won't do anything for you. If it was in the washing machine then I think you are hosed, you will be lucky if there isn't water damage.
How the hell did you forget your phone in your pants anyways? You need to bring it to an Apple store to get it replaced if it does not work because GUESS WHAT? VERIZON'S WARRANTIES SUCK. And Apple is full of sh*t
- My iphone 5s went on a washing machine and it turns on and the screen too but the touch dosent work? I tried putting it in rice and drying it with a hair drier or blow drier everything works except the touch and the screen has a white strap going down and you can see the water or water stains any suggestions
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- IPhone dongle went through washing machine? I accidentally left the dongle (lightning to aux adapter) in the pocket of a jacket that went through the washing machine. The cord s completely dry, so is there any harm in trying to plug it into the iPhone and an aux cord to see if it still works?
- Iphone 6 in washing machine screen unresponsive? It got soaked, for about 3 minutes before i realized it was missing. Took it out, put it in rice, it turns on but the screen does not respond to touch. The screen never went black and its impossible to turn off without swiping the off thing. (I've tried holding down the home button and off button but its just a reset) anyway to shut it off without a reboot? And what should I do?
