IPhone fell in pool at hotel?

Help! I had an otterbox armor for iPhone 5 that failed in the pool right before checkout I'm currently driving to salt lake UT From Las Vegas I have it on the dashboard of my truck during the drive I also shook it out and hair dried it for a little. So will it work again? And can I recover my pictures from Cali? Please help 10pts for best answer!

Added (1). WTF IS HUTCH SAYING? I live in Pennsylvania so of course I don't live in CA so why would I try to be fake? And when people refer PA as Penna I really don't care!

My phone (NOT iPHONE) got saturated when I fell into the water (very cold!) while kayaking in Alaska 2 weeks ago!

Phone had died AS EXPECTED however being an "old" phone I was able to take the back off and remove the battery and dry out the SIM card and the battery/SIM card compartment! Still didn't work however! About a week later tried again - worked perfectly!

Rub is I had already ordered a new phone!

I've had several friends revive their wet iPhones by placing them in a bag of uncooked rice for several days. It's worked for them, so I guess it's worth a try.

Well I dun know about Iphone but, I have a Samsung ( Galaxy S2 ) and same happened to it when I was on a holiday. All I did was kept my phone out in sun for a while and i didn't try to switch it on the whole day as someone told me it might affect the internal parts. I also hair dried it and next morning I tried switching it on and it worked normally as before. So keeping it in sun and drying it off completely did help me. Hope you can revive your pictures.

Try putting it in a bag of Uncooked rice.
I too have a iPhone 5 and dropped it in a pool in San Antonio while on vacay. It worked perfecty afterwards.

Cali is a city in Colombia, South America.
There's no place in the US called Cali. Referring to California as cali is a derogatory term. When you say it, us locals just roll our eyes and say "wanna be".

Maybe your cell phone will work again, maybe it won't.
But this really isn't a travel question. You would probably have more luck in technology. Although, I doubt they will be able to guess if you will be able to retrieve your pictures. I don't think most people have a crystal ball that works.

Put it in a bag of rice over night, and if your pictures were saved in iCloud then you
Will still have them.

  • What is the Wi-Fi password for best western hotel? I'm staying in an Arkansas best western hotel, and I need the Wi-Fi password forrm iPod touch. (I'm writing this on my friend's iPhone). I need the Wi-Fi password very badly. I tried to contact the front desk, but the phone isn't working! Please help. Sorry, it's too late for that. (Time wise) I'm with my youth group and they told us not to leave until morning. (Also, please be a bit more polite about this)
  • What do I do about my iPhone that fell in the pool? So I dropped my iPhone in my pool. It was underwater for a maximum of 3 seconds but closer to 2.It was functioning, 5 seconds later it shut off, and after probably 45 seconds I had it submerged in rice. From any iPhone junkies or past experiences, do you think it will survive?
  • My Iphone 4 fell in a pool but not just a normal pool? It fell off my pocket and stayed at the bottom of the pool which was filled with sea water for 10 minutes, is there even 1% chance of it beeing fixed?
  • IPhone 5 isn't finding hotel Wi-Fi. Any suggestions? So I'm at an airport hotel. A Hilton if it matters. I'm in my room and my macbook found the hotel Wi-Fi network with no problem. So I have a long flight tomorrow and so I'm downloading a bunch of new games for my iphone. On of them requires a Wi-Fi network to download. So i tried to find the Wi-Fi network on my iPhone and it isn't finding any network, even though my macbook is connected to the internet. So why can't my iPhone find the network?
