Iphone Installment Plan?
Do I need to pay the carrier for service/data as well for the Iphone installment plan? I don't use service or data, so I would rather not pay for it, but would still rather pay for the iphone monthly.
You can buy the phone unlocked as you wish.
You pay about 50 percent down, and the rest in payments WHILE ON THEIR PLAN. Or you can buy an unlocked phone at a store, charge it and get hit with all that interest! - and sponge off local Wi-Fi, and have no phone service unless you get VOIP like Skype - and you pay Skype, or only call people for free that have it too. So most of the time, unless you are on free Wi-Fi, you have a chick of metal and glass in your bag - not much works. I know how to work this when bidding another country temporarily - but I do not want to LIVE like this. Consumer Cellular is a good deal. Are you old enough to legally do this?
- Will the sprint iPhone Forever plan or a similar plan be available later this year? I don't have enough money right now and it expires soon, but I'm asking because it's a great deal and I don't want to miss out on it. Obviously you can't know for sure, but has anyone paid attention to previous years, and/or can you make an educated guess?
- Will I be able to unlock my iPhone with a home phone plan instead of a wireless plan? I don't have a wireless plan with AT&T but I have a home phone plan does that count towards unlocking requirements? And also can I use a mildly cracked screen as a replacement screen on my iPhone?
- Is the Verizon edge plan a good plan for me? I have the iPhone 4 and really want to upgrade to the 5c or 5s --not sure yet. Anyway, I also would want to upgrade to the 6 when it comes out. Should I get the edge plan so I'll be able to upgrade it or should I wait all the way until the 6 comes out?
- Is it cheaper to get a new iPhone on a plan or buy it unlocked and add a cheap plan? I can either buy the phone for $250 and pay a monthly $80 plan with data for 2 years or purchase the unlocked phone $800 and pay $30 - $50 a month - I might not get data but it wouldn't be a big deal to me, I'm just trying to find a deal thats not ridiculously expensive cause I can't really afford too too much right now. Which would be better?
