Iphone Jailbreak and 2 Year Contract?

If I buy and Iphone 4 with the 2 year contract, Jailbreak it, and take it to another country to use it there, what happens to my AT&T contract here? Do I have to continue making any monthly payments even if it that sim isn't used at all since the phone itself is in use with another service provider in another country?

You will have to cancel it so it won't charge you

Just to clarify (And you probably already know this) Jailbreaking does not Unlock and iPhone, just bypasses the security for the software. But on to your question, the great thing will be if you can prove that you moved overseas, like a utility bill in your name at the new address. Simply state work has made you move and your not breaking the contract and since they can't offer the service you agreed to here in the states then the contract is void. You will have to pay for what you used, and depending on how far into the contract you are, you might have to pay a little for the phone. Or return the device (Usually within the first 45 days).

The sim still works

you can put it to any other phone to use free minutes and data

Or you can claim to get another iPhone by said it was lost or something like that.

Hope this help

My ipod 4g Is jailbroken your contract run out. You can make your own contrat provider if you download a good source!

Here in the uk if you take out a mobile phone contract here wether you sell the phone or put a diffrent sim card into it or move away you still have to pay the monthly amout for the remainder of the contract unless you ask to cancell it and pay the cancell cost
also if you jailbreak your phone you will void any apple warrenty or cover
