IPhone, Metropcs, Virgin mobile?

Does anyone know if I were to buy an iPhone with virgin mobile can I connect it with Metropcs?

It is possible, but not easy, as Virgin Mobile does not unlock phones for customers as current policy.

When the prepaid carriers -- from Leap Wireless (aka Cricket) to Sprint Nextel's Virgin Mobile prepaid arm -- began offering the once-exclusive iPhone, a notable exception was MetroPCS.

Turns out the company never got serious in its discussions with Apple, MetroPCS President Thomas Keys told CNET. The major stumbling block was technology. Similar to the issue T-Mobile has had, the iPhone didn't run on the band of spectrum on which MetroPCS was operating. More importantly, it didn't yet run on 4G LTE, which was the company's focus.

  • Will a T-mobile iphone work with MetroPCS? Can I buy a t-mobile Iphone and bring it to metropcs for a contract since they have merged. Would the phone have had to be activated with T-mobile before? Should I just buy an unlocked one?
  • Why does my iPhone switch from metropcs to t-mobile sometimes? I was on my iPhone and suddenly my phone switched carriers from metropcs to tmobile but my phone still has internet working. What do you think happened?! This is weird! It happens rarely but sometimes it will happen so fast and even alternate between the two for sometime
  • Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile? I'm moving to Houston this summer and I'm looking for a cheaper cell phone plan. I talk, text, email, fb etc. I had virgin mobile back in 2004 and I love it and had no problem. I have a android galaxy s3 right now which I love but the battery isn't so great. I'm thinking about possibly buying an iPhone. What I'm really looking for is reviews on virgin and boost mobile. If you have any other cheap cell phone plan carrier suggestions I'm up for that too.
  • Virgin Mobile iphone 4s: Does it work on T-mobile? If I purchased the unlocked iphone 4s from Virigin mobile would I be able to use it on T-mobile? Does anybody know if the virigin mobile iphone has a spot for a sim card like the ones T-mobile uses?
