IPhone No service. It is not jailbroken?

I have updated my iPhone 3gs to ios6.1.3 today and I get a message saying No service and sometimes it says Searching…

The sim card I have in is o2 and on my settings it says my carrier is O2 14.0

First off to help. Tell me the service you have? It could also be that the sim card isn't properly put in. I would also call your carrier about this problem basically.other options I have is to turn it off take out the sim card.put the sim card back in and turn it back on. Hope any of this works!

Is it a O2 iphone?
if not it might have been unlocked to use O2 sims, and the update got rid of the unlock.

  • Will an Apple Store refuse service for a jailbroken iPhone? I have an iPhone 6 with a cracked screen. I have scheduled a Genius Bar appointment to have my phone repaired, however my phone is jailbroken. I know it voids warranty and I don't have warranty to begin with, I'm paying for the repair completely. Since the screen is a hardware thing and wouldn't matter if I was jailbroken or not, I was just curious because I don't want to have wasted my time for them to refuse service to me.
  • Same network, Iphone 5 only receiving Edge service, Iphone 4 receiveing 3g service? Running IOS 6.1.2 on Iphone 5, 6.1 on Iphone 4 Both on O2 Can't get 3g service on iphone 5. Iphone 4 can and they are both in the same room, any ideas why?

  • New iPhone won't get service but my older iPhone gets service? I just got a 6s and went to the Verizon store to get my upgrade. I used to have a 5s. My 5s is still getting service and my 6s is not. I turned off cellular data on my 5s and and made sure both data and LTE were working on my 6s but it still isn't working.
